EVT – Australia Chef Migration

Australia Chef Migration ( ACM) is delighted to partner with EVT for the supply of International Cooks and Chefs under the 482 visa pathway, and we are delighted to map out the activation and set up instructions for all the venues within the varied ownership structures.

Appendix 1A refers to all the visa set up requirements which will be adhered by ACM in all set ups across the group.

Appendix 1B gives an overview of the steps and timelines for each application setup between ACM and EVT-KPMG.

Job Order Process

Under the Owned venues, the venue manager (Venue Authorised Person) will undertake the Job order instructions to ACM as per the process and timeline in Appendix 1B.

For all other M&L venues under different ABN to the above, the Venue Authorising Person (person with authorisation to proceed) will activate using the digital link at the bottom of the page.

Australia Chef Migration will activate the set up and process according to Appendix 1B .

In the situation ACM does not have enough ‘ visa ready’ candidates at the job order stage, the timeline of this will be outlined for the venue to decide to proceed, and the candidate interviews can be actioned in the knowledge of the timeline to lodge the visa.

Appendix 1A

ACM will co-ordinate and action the following requirements for each visa nomination and will ensure KPMG have these in place for each candidate.

Three (3) Advertisements with national reach in Australia.

One (1) must include Workforce Australia, and remaining Two (2)can be combination of EVT sponsor’s career website and other recruitment websites. Must be conducted in a 4 month period prior to nomination application lodgement for minimum 28 days.

Evidence:

  • Screenshots of day 1 and 28 to evidence of full advertisement with date stamps for each advertisement
  • Confirmation of number of applicants for each of advertisements (‘Application report’).

ACM will secure employment contract from EVT and ensure it is signed by both parties dated post LMT advertising period

ACM will establish position title and ensure there are a minimum 5-6 technical responsibilities to be performed in the role, ideal skills and experience required to perform the duties of the role.

ACM will establish if there is Australia citizens / permanent residents working in equivalent role in same location, a copy of the Australian’s employment contract, payslips, or other verifiable evidence of their remuneration (personal identifiers to be removed); or

If there is no equivalent Australian, confirmation of how salary determined and evidence with reference to: industrial instrument, or external market salary research and data surveys.

ACM wil provide the following documents to KPMG for each candidate visa application

Passport bio data page

Copy of most recent Australian visa grant

Evidence of change of name, if applicable

ACM candidates can only add dependants to their visa following 6 months successful probation period

Up to date curriculum vitae (resume) for primary applicant

Copies of all post secondary qualification certificates

If no formal qualifications, must provide employment references covering at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Copy of positive outcome from Trade Recognition Australia (TRA) or relevant skills assessment body

Exempt from providing English test if:

Hold a valid passport from Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States of America.
Provide evidence studied for 5 years full time in a secondary or higher education institution where the medium of instruction was in English

Otherwise must provide one of below test results within the last three (3) years:

Overall band score of at least 5.0 with a score of at least 5.0 in each of the 4 test components

BOOK IELTS

Score of at least ‘B’ in each of the four components

BOOK OET

Total score of at least 35 with a score of at least 4 in listening and reading, and at least 14 in writing and speaking

BOOK TOEFL IBT

Academic overall test score of at least 36 with a score of at least 36 in each of the 4 components

BOOK PTE

Overall test score of at least 154 with a score of at least 154 in each of the 4 components

BOOK CAMBRIDGE

For each country spent 12 months or more cumulatively, in the last 10 years. Must be Police Clearance accepted by the Department of Home Affairs. Police Clearances deemed to be valid for 12 months from issue date.

Military service record and discharge certificate of any country served in the last 10 years.

Appendix 1B

  1. Timeline at each step is from the previous step.
  2. Candidates will only be introduced to EVT when they are ‘Visa Ready’ ie have all visa application documents in place, thus minimising delay in the full application process.
  3. The 3 week timeline for RMA is applicable to Konnecting.com who have confirmed this is the outset timeline and this has not been confirmed with KPMG applicable venues.
  4. The above timeline is based on the venue providing the nomination documents by step 8 in the process.
