English Competency

Overall band score of at least 5.0 with a score of at least 5.0 in each of the test components.

BOOK IELTS

Minimum scores for Occupational English Test (OET): 

Listening: 220
Reading: 240
Writing: 200
Speaking: 270

BOOK OET

Minimum scores for TOEFL iBT: 

Listening: 8
Reading: 8
Writing: 9
Speaking: 14

BOOK TOEFL IBT

Minimum scores for PTE Academic English test taken after 13 September 2025: 

Listening: 33
Reading: 36
Writing: 29
Speaking: 24

BOOK PTE

Overall test score of at least 154 with a score of at least 154 in each of the test components.

BOOK CAMBRIDGE

ACM does not have any preference for the certification. You may choose whichever suits you the best.

It is expected that you will have the test date booked within 7 days from receipt of the program agreement and therefore please action this with the click-through links in the table below.

Cost

Depends on which test you take, for example, IELTS test will cost you $475.

Police Check

You will pay:

Department of Home Affairs visa application fee:  Au$3,210

Migration Lawyer professional fees: Au$3,000 + 10%GST

The candidate understands they will be responsible for paying the Department of Home Affairs application fee and this must be paid prior to lodging the visa application.

The candidate will repay the Migration Lawyer fee of $3000 + 10% GST in weekly instalments upon arriving in Australia and receiving salary.

TRA Skills Assessment is $4,110 payable to Licensed Certifier.

Skills Assessment

Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) Skills Assessment is a requirement to apply for a Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) visa in Australia to work in a nominated occupation.

  • Upon receipt of Program Agreement and refundable program deposit, ACM will introduce you by email to registered training organisation.

  • Candidates send Letters of employment, payslips, workplace menus, education qualifications to company for no FEE Pre Assessment and eligibility check based on your documents provided.

  • The company will confirm your documents and invite you to formally undertake registration online and pay deposit for TRA.

  • Formal Technical interview will be arranged in person in your current location.

Process is approximately 8 – 10 weeks to complete
